Shut Up: Milton Bradley by Michael

As a die-hard Cubs fan, I can’t let this slide. Milton Bradley: shut the hell up. Missed what he told ESPN? Read this.

Perhaps Milton the problem wasn’t that you were African-American, but that you were given $10 million to play well, AND YOU DIDN’T! Yeah, any racism is bad, and you should never have had to deal with that. But not everyone was racist towards you, most booed you because you were a jackass that wasn’t playing well. Look at your former teammate Kevin Gregg, who couldn’t save a game to save his life. He got booed, but not as much as you because he’s wasn’t a huge asshole.

So now you’re in Seattle, and no one would expect you to let it all go because, like I said, you’re an asshole, but it’s time to shut up. You aren’t worth the air time for ESPN, let alone the $30 million contract. I’m sure you’ll find an irrational reason why everyone in Seattle will inevitably hate you. It’s probably because, again, you’re an asshole, but I’m sure you’ll find your own creative reason.

Shut Up: Phil Jackson and Doc Rivers by Michael

Apparently, Phil Jackson and Doc Rivers don’t like the deal the Cavs made that sent Antwan Jamison to Cleveland and Zydrunas Ilgauskas to the Wizards. Washington is expected to buy him out, leaving the veteran center to return to the Cavs within 30 days. Both coaches are pissed about this, and I’d be too, if it weren’t for the fact that they pull this crap all the time in L.A. and Boston. Says Jackson:

“They’re going to get Ilgauskas back and it’s going to be one of those scenarios that we see in the NBA where you ship a player out, you get another player, then your player retires or they pay him off and then he comes back in 30 days…I don’t know what that does for the league. I think that’s kind of a weird situation.”

Seriously Phil? You got Pau Gasol a few years ago and have since won another championship with him. It’s not like the Lakers are going to miss the playoffs or something because of this, and in fact, they’re still the best team in the West. As for Rivers? His team made a deal exactly like this a few years ago with Gary Payton.  Says Doc:

“I actually do have a problem with that though. We did it…but I do think [it's a problem]. I don’t know what you do [maybe] just not allow them to go back to the same team or whatever. … I do think that will be changed eventually, but I do have a problem with it.”

I’m not sure you have two feet to stand on here Doc. I agree, it’s a really stupid loophole that needs to be addressed by the NBA, but it’s really hard hearing it not only from two guys that have made use of similar trade situations, but also have some of the best players in the NBA on their teams. Yeah, it’s Cleveland and LeBron, but we’re talking about two teams that have won the last two NBA championships that have rosters with the names Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, Pierce, Garnett, and Allen on them. Maybe it’s the bitter Pacers fan in me, but come on guys, shut up.
